Jenny Bennett Fandom

Men are seized by a violent tree and the dreaded tongue-carpet and “eaten” by the house. Jenny nearly becomes a victim when the front walk comes to life. Bizarre supernatural events cause a dead woman’s tormented soul to possess a house and the property around it. When the home is finally destroyed, we see Nebbercracker embracing a misty specter in the shape of his wife before her liberated spirit is whisked off to who-knows-where. Mr. Nebbercracker hates kids and confiscates everything that lands on his lawn, telling people to stay off it and from his house due to his knowledge that the house is sapient.

Despite the clownishness of several characters, this nasty little nightmare-inducer maintains a dark, occult edge and follows the typical horror-movie template. Chowder endorses Tales From the Crypt and makes flatulence noises with his armpits. For the most part adults in the film are either absent, incompetent or nasty, giving tweens little incentive to rely on them when trouble arises. We’re shown a bottle of urine as the boys argue about who generated it. The deceitful Zee acts sweet until she knows DJ’s parents are gone, at which time she morphs into her punked-out, abusive self.

Main characters

DJ apologizes to Nebbercracker for the loss of his house and wife, but Nebbercracker thanks DJ and the kids for freeing him and Constance after 45 years of being trapped. That night, children in their Halloween costumes are all lined up at the remains of Nebbercracker's house, where DJ, Chowder, and Jenny help him return all of the toys to their owners, including Eliza's tricycle. Jenny's mother Mrs. Bennett picks her up and hugs DJ and Chowder before leaving. As they make a plan to kill the house, Chowder provides a dummy filled with cold medicine that should cause the house to sleep long enough for them to douse the furnace. The cops wrongfully place the trio in the police car while they examine the house.

They begin to find out why Nebbercracker did this to his wife until DJ accidentally falls onto the body and screams in terror as it cracks open to reveal a skeleton. As Jenny and Chowder were captured by springs and snake-like pipes, DJ walks up the basement stairs until the stairs start to attack him as he climbs up to the first floor. Jenny forced the house to vomit them outside by grabbing onto its uvula. As DJ and Chowder argue about their ideas, and that Chowder risked his life for DJ for stealing drugs for him and DJ says that it was Chowders idea to make DJ retrieve Chowder's ball back and DJ then hastily heads for home. As he does, he nearly gets run over by an ambulance hijacked by Nebbercracker and the trio are surprised to see that arrives home alive, but with his arm in a sling.

She even conspires with Jenny to cheat DJ’s parents out of the emergency cash they left for her. Dogs urinate on a lawn and a lit jack-o-lantern (thus extinguishing it). Characters call each other “moron,” “loser,” “dork” and “porky.” Urination jokes employ the word “pee” several times, while Chowder (to impress his friends) insolently shouts into a dead phone, “Dad, why don’t you kiss my hairy butt!

And since this is a movie aimed at an audience for whom the grosser bodily functions are a perpetual source of laughs, it vomits them up again. The house roars, belches, spits fire and in the end turns out to be...Kathleen Turner. One of the spooky archetypes of childhood imagination — the dark, mysterious house across the street — is literally brought to life in “Monster House,” a marvelously creepy animated feature directed by Gil Kenan. After being spat out by the house, DJ, Chowder, and Jenny are chased by the rampant abode. At a construction site, DJ and Jenny head for a nearby crane while Chowder takes control of an excavator and battles the house, after which, DJ uses the crane to throw a dynamite down the house’s chimney, blowing it up.

Swings out on a crane's hook with the dynamite, dropping it into the house's chimney and vanquishing Constance. Finally freed, her spirit briefly reunites with Nebbercracker before ascending to the afterlife; he thanks the trio for freeing them from their suffering. That same day, D.J.'s parents leave for a convention, placing him in the care of his teenage babysitter Elizabeth, or Zee. Later, D.J.'s friend, Charles "Chowder" Peterson, loses his basketball on Nebbercracker's lawn; D.J. He appears to suffer a heart attack and is presumed dead by the duo as he is taken away in an ambulance. The front door opens into a gaping maw lined with cracked boards for teeth.

Jenny and Chowder then congratulate DJ as he hangs from the crane. Against his friends' protests, DJ tries to talk some sense with Nebbercracker about the truth behind his wrathful and suspicious behavior. Nebbercracker was at first angry after he has discovered the truth, but eventually relents and tells them their story.

And for the most part they talk and behave like real kids, too, or at least like characters drawn from the rich tradition of plucky, intellectually curious kiddie-lit heroes. DJ is descended from Encyclopedia Brown (perhaps by way of Jimmy Neutron, but never mind), and Jenny bears some temperamental resemblance to Harriet the Spy. I’m sure Chowder will remind you of someone in your fifth-grade class, wherever or whenever that was. The children, left to their own devices, must conquer the evil that, all but unnoticed, flourishes in their midst. Nebbercracker returns from the hospital alive and well and it is revealed that Constance is the house. When they first met, Constance was an unwilling participant in a circus freak show who was ridiculed for her obesity.

Jenny is one of the three main playable characters in the video game based on the film, alongside DJ and Chowder. DJ and Chowder are attracted to Jenny, who kisses DJ on the lips and hugs both boys (Chowder claims, “She grabbed my butt”). Chowder is a latch-key kid whose mother is cheating on his father with her personal trainer. In a gross display, Bones pretends to tongue-kiss one of DJ’s stuffed animals, then tears it apart. DJ’s dad confesses to, as a boy, using binoculars to look at attractive female neighbors.

It also represents, to the technology nerds in the audience, an interesting refinement of animation techniques. The postures and gestures of DJ (Mitchell Musso) and his pals — a pudgy fellow named Chowder (Sam Lerner) and a preppy redhead named Jenny (Spencer Locke) — have an authentically loose and antic look. They seem like real kids, rather than like super-cute, big-headed cartoon moppets. This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks. The action you just performed triggered the security solution.

Nebbercracker then lashes them out to leave, but his wrath was quickly changed into worries as he realized that kids would be approaching his house. He then starts walking towards his house which somewhat became gentle to him. By this point, DJ learned that all this time, the house was possessed by Constance's spirit. Each time the titular two-story serial killer claims another victim, I heard unprepared little ones in the audience whimper louder or wail to the point of distraction. At first glance the impressive computer animation and involvement of Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis would seem promising.
